Four Happy Tails: Bollinger, Grady, Mahalia, and Hot Lips Houlihan Go Home at Last
Every animal who comes through our doors has a story, but some stay with us a little longer than others—waiting patiently (and sometimes not so patiently!) for the right family to walk through the door. Today, we’re overjoyed to share the news of not one, not two, but four long-time residents who have finally found their forever homes.
Meet Bollinger, Grady, Mahalia, and Hot Lips Houlihan—their journeys have touched our hearts, and now they’re starting new chapters filled with love, comfort, and family.
🐾 Bollinger: 513 Days of Cuddles Waiting to Be Shared
Bollinger was a big, lovable boy with an even bigger heart. He spent 513 days with us, patiently waiting for someone to see the sweet, snuggly companion he truly was. He was passed over time and again. Despite that, Bollinger adored people and never passed up the chance for a cuddle, some ear rubs, or his absolute favorite—butt scratches.
Dog-friendly and gentle, Bollinger was a staff favorite. And when his perfect match finally walked through the door, it was instant. He’s now living the cozy life, surrounded by love.
🐾 Grady: 855 Days of Play and Politeness
Grady, a handsome pit bull mix, was a shining example of how wonderful shelter dogs can be. For 855 days, he charmed everyone with his joyful energy and impeccable manners. He loved to run and play with other dogs but always knew how to dial it down and be a perfect gentleman.
Grady’s long wait didn’t dampen his spirit—he remained hopeful, playful, and endlessly sweet. And now, his new life is full of adventure, companionship, and the loving family he always deserved.
🐾 Mahalia: 529 Days of Zoomies and Zest
Mahalia burst into our lives with energy and enthusiasm to spare. For 529 days, she filled the shelter with zoomies, tail wags, and a passion for life that couldn’t be ignored. High-energy and full of personality, Mahalia needed a home that could match her spirit.
She found it—and now she’s living her best life with people who adore her lively, loving nature. Whether she’s out on an adventure or cuddling up after a long day, Mahalia is finally home.
🐾 Hot Lips Houlihan: 822 Days of Sass, Smarts, and Fetch
Hot Lips Houlihan was a force of nature. After spending 822 days with us, she had become something of a legend. With boundless energy and a sharp mind, Hot Lips loved to play fetch, learn new tricks, and steal the spotlight.
Her high energy meant she needed a special match—someone who could keep up and appreciate her spark. And she found them! Hot Lips now has a home where she can run, play, and rule the roost exactly the way she likes.
💛 Why These Stories Matter
These pups may have waited longer than they should have, but their stories remind us that every pet has a perfect match—it just takes time, patience, and a lot of love. We’re so grateful to the adopters who opened their hearts to Bollinger, Grady, Mahalia, and Hot Lips Houlihan.
